James 5:17-18 KJV
[17] Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. [18] And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.
We can learn a whole lot from the life of this great prophet, Elijah. First and foremost, he was a man of prayer but above all he believed God. Elijah stuck his head out for the Almighty God whatever the cost. A sound robust relationship with the Almighty God will precipitate a life of miracles. One important lesson to learn from the life of this great man is that he obeyed God. For 42 long months, Elijah shut the heaven and there was no rain. One can generate power through a life of total obedience to God, purity and persistent prayers. Today’s opening Bible scripture highlights that Elijah was not built with a different material from you but he understood what many believers don’t understand today. One can make great impact by having true intimacy with God and then working at it. If we are able to attain that level of closure with God, we would be able to affect everything around us. Today isn’t late to begin on this new dimension of faith in God. God bless you!
