Hebrews 5:12-13 KJV
[12] For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. [13] For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.
Saved yet not growing, redeemed but stagnant, a Christian but lacking understanding, that is the story of many in the Body of Christ today. The Bible says for how long are you going to be taught the foundational things of Christian Faith? it is very important that we grow as believers, it is not just sufficient to be saved. Being saved is only the first step to knowing God but there is much more to chew as you go along the way. Imagine starting on a new job, going through the new hire training and then 8 months after, forgetting all you have been taught, how frustrating can that be for management. Our opening Bible text tells those who have been saved a while that God has invested so much in them, it is just about time they start grooming others. Make no excuses because God is really counting on you especially if you have being in the Christian Faith for a while now. You definitely do not want to be a new convert forever, ask for special grace today to grow teeth in your walk with God. Stay blessed.
